What Are Spirits?
Before I begin, I have to say that the following "information" is technically only a collection of my opinions and beliefs. There are many different beliefs about spirits, and I am in no way claiming what I believe is correct. If you are curious about other opinions, there are plenty of books in your local bookstore as well as a ton of information online if you check a search engine.I believe a "spirit" is another form of existence after a human or animal dies. If the person has the ability to cross over to the other side (I do not really believe in a "heaven", but I think the other side is another plane of existence), then I would classify them as a "spirit". If the person cannot cross over for some reason (murder, unfinished business, died too quickly, etc.) and they become Earth-bound, I would call them a "ghost".
So a ghost being "stuck" on Earth may make sense, but you may wonder why a spirit would come back after crossing over. I believe some people who die still have connection to some one or some thing on Earth, and therefore stick around until that person dies or sticks around until they no longer feel like it. However, I also think that there are some spirits who choose to become "spirit guides", and form a connection with a living person. I think that true spirit guides are generally always with the person that they choose, and protect and guide them. A person may have one or multiple guides, or may not have one at all depending on what stage of life they are in or if a spirit has taken a liking to the person enough to become their guide.
There are numerous books, CDs, talk shows and anything else you can think of in order to teach you how to get in contact with your guide. If you are truly interested, just do some searching and try what you feel is the best method. You know the voice in the back of your head that you sometimes hear that is telling you to or not to do something? Chances are the voice is really your guide trying to push you in the right direction. It may not always be, as I do believe in gut instinct/feelings, but I do think a good portion of the time it may be your guide.
I could go on and on about spirits, as I feel a great attachment to those that I know are around me. I enjoy meeting new spirits and listening to the stories that they have to tell. I personally feel more comfortable knowing I have friends around than being in an empty room, even though I used to be terrified of the idea of anything being around that I could not see. I am very, very happy to own this fanlisting to show at least a tiny amount of how much I love spirits. I hope to be able to continue to talk and sense them in the future because they have become a large part of my life.
Lastly, I want to include that Spirit Walk is dedicated to my spirit guide Heather, who also happens to be my twin sister, as well as a few other spirit friends that I have come to know in the past few years. All of them are very important people to me, and I cannot imagine being without them.
