JAPANESE VOICE ACTRESS
Name: Hidaka Noriko (Nagai Noriko)
Birthday: May 31, 1962
Hometown: Chiyoda, Japan
I absolutely love what Hidaka Noriko did with Kikyou's role. Even though she originally tried out for Kagome, I'm glad that she was assigned Kikyou's part instead. Her voice fits Kikyou perfectly in my opinion and I really enjoyed the emotion and feeling she put into her. She is able to portray Kikyou's pain, sorrow and loneliness well, and therefore I appreciate her efforts and hard work. She has done other wonderful roles such as:
• Near (Death Note)
• Riize (Zoids Guardian Force)
• Seta Soujirou (Rurouni Kenshin)
• Tendo Akane (Ranma 1/2)

ENGLISH VOICE ACTRESS
Name: Willow Johnson
Birthday: April 3, 1977
Hometown: Vancouver, British Columbia
Though I did enjoy some of the voice acting in the dubbed version of InuYasha, I was not too thrilled with Kikyou's dub voice. I think that Willow's voice had potential to work very well for Kikyou's character, as it was on the deeper, mature and elegant side, but I do not think she had the right emotion. She made Kikyou sound more apathetic than anything else, and I noticed this from the very first scene in episode one. It was not horrible, but I think with more feeling it could have gone further. She has played other roles such as:
• Opera Vecta (Star Ocean EX)
• Ruby Moon (Card Captors)
• Saz Higgins (Brain Powered)
• Yukari (Escaflowne film)
