A girl born with strong spiritual power. She became a priestess, purified the Shikon Jewel with her clear heart, and dispassionately fought numerous demons. She felt an unusual bond to the half-demon Inuyasha and had fledging feelings for him, but those feelings could not yet be called love. However a demonic trap tore her feelings apart and she died brokenhearted. When she was revived, and wished to remain in this world as the horrid living dead, her stifled emotions were released. She expresses love and anger at the will of her soul.
